Toys donated to Lancashire Teaching Hospital Charity’s Children’s Appeal

Toys collectively priced at over £300 were donated to the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Charity’s Children’s Appeal by Morrisons Preston Riversway store.

The toys have already been distributed to young patients in the Royal Preston Hospital’s pediatric ward by Karen Seed from the hospital’s play team.

Lucy Clark, fundraiser for Children’s Appeal, said: “We would like to thank the staff at Morrisons Preston Riversway for their generosity and support.

“Toys are already making a real difference to our young patients as they put smiles on faces and bring joy and in doing so they help improve their hospital experience, which is our appeal.”

The appeal, which was launched last May, is to purchase a £1million range of equipment to make children inpatient and outpatient at Royal Preston and Chorley district general hospitals, as well as other local centers run by Lancashire University Hospitals. NHS Foundation Trust, better and more comfortable for young patients and their parents and carers.
