As September rolls around and we start to say goodbye to summer, it’s time to adjust to the last warm weather activities before the onset of fall!

From camping, to concerts, to markets and festivals, there are plenty of fun things going on this Labor Day long weekend in the Peterborough area!

Labor Jam Weekend is a free concert that will feature an eclectic mix of genres from 11 well-known local bands, including headlining Lindsay Barr and Melissa Payne.

When: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Jethro’s Bar + Stage offers a variety of live music over the weekend.

An annual event that takes place on Labor Day weekend, featuring a baseball tournament, 10K race, car show, children’s races, frog jumping contests, tug of war , a home-cooked meal and a chance to win a handmade quilt.

Y Drive is hosting its first annual Dunk Tank event in support of the Y Drive Foundation.

The foundation was created in memory of Dani Sinacori who died in August. As a mother of 3 children and teacher for several, her life was sporting, educational and family. The foundation will focus on school breakfast programs, youth sports and helping our neighbors when they need it.
Come soak up personalities like Diane Therrien, Adam Brown (Dr J’s/Chemong Lodge), David Bui (PTBO Canada), Rob & Erica from Y Drive and Jessie Primeau from Bowes & Cocks.

The premier sword fighting event in Canada. The festival is located, fittingly for any history buff, just outside the village of Hastings in Blades of Glory. It is a 3 day festival open to all ages.

The Festive Year-Round Farmer’s Market in Downtown PTBO! Held outside in the courtyard of PTBO Square on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dust off that cowboy hat, grab your friends, and get ready to kick off the summer with a bang. Crooks Rapids Year 3 is here and we’re thrilled to announce our full lineup of amazing country artists for 2 days of music and good times. Enjoy local food and craft vendors. Friendly and family!
