At this virtual community meeting on Tuesday, June 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., attendees will be invited to review a proposal to define the elements of the Community Preference Program. This is one of the short-term actions identified in the report. A Community Preference Program prioritizes applicants with a community connection for a percentage of units in new affordable housing developments. We will be looking for feedback on ideas regarding what criteria will count to be considered a “community connected” person. In addition, the team will present proposed measures to monitor the implementation of the ten anti-displacement strategies recommended in the report.
