The official Saints Row blog has released its fall update which dives into upcoming bug fixes, quality of life improvements, details on new cosmetic DLC, and more. You can check out the blog post here or read below for more details:

We’re thrilled that Saints Row is finally out and in your hands. Over a million players have stormed Santo Ileso and started building their criminal empires as The Saints.

While we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes, everyone at Volition has been following your response to the game, and we want to thank you for your enthusiasm, support, and feedback.

We’re a long-term supporter of Saints Row, and while we’d rather talk about roadmaps and expansions, we think the focus should be on how we’re going to improve the Saints Row experience for everyone. players in 2022 and beyond.

Bugs and fixes

We know there’s still work to be done to improve your in-game experience, and we’re working hard to fix community-reported issues and make improvements based on your feedback. You can see some of the progress we’ve already made from recent patches here. Be sure to bookmark this page and follow our social media for the most up-to-date Saints information and a sneak peek at what we’re working on.

But there’s a lot more we want to do, and right now our development priority is to deliver improvements against new features. With this in mind, we will be releasing our first major update at the end of November to incorporate as many improvements and fixes as possible.

This November update will feature over 200 bug fixes and stability upgrades, with a strong focus on challenges, overall stability, and co-op. We’re especially aware of the issues some players have been having with co-op, and we’re sorry these fixes took longer than expected while we thoroughly apply and test them. Also, we know that the game doesn’t always clearly explain how and when co-op is possible, so we’re working on that as well. In the meantime, be sure to check out the co-op guide for info on how best to team up and tear up Santo Ileso with a friend!

Changes in quality of life and continuous improvements

At the same time, this November update will mark the start of a series of quality of life changes and new features for the base game. This update will include many requested improvements, including reducing the repetition of certain activities, creating more rewarding challenges, improving vehicle handling, revamped rumble and haptics, and more.

But the quality of life improvements in this update are just the tip of the iceberg. These are wins we think we can bring to you quickly as we work on even bigger and better improvements based on your feedback.

We plan to update you more regularly on what changes we are making and when!

New cosmetic DLC for 2022

Although the delivery of new content has become less of a priority at the moment, we still have some exciting additions for players in 2022.

This week, we’re releasing the first in a series of cosmetic packs – the Front to Back Pack – to all players for FREE. If you own the game, all you have to do is go to your appropriate store platform and download it.

We will be releasing more free cosmetic packs this year for all players, as well as several additional cosmetic packs that will be given to Expansion Pass holders at no additional cost. The Expansion Pass will also be available for purchase later this month (remember: you already have the Expansion Pass if you own the Gold, Platinum, or Notorious editions of Saints Row).

2023 and beyond

As we said at the top of the blog, we plan to support Saints Row for the long term. 2023 will be a hugely exciting year for Saints Row owners with a wealth of content, including brand new story content (included in the Expansion Pass, but will also be available to purchase separately) and new experiences free games and areas of the city to explore.

All of that will of course be pushed aside by even bigger quality of life updates, more free packs, and more stuff we’re not quite ready to talk about yet. Please stay tuned for regular updates on our progress and keep you posted on what’s new in Saints Row.
