A team charity cup competition saw members of the Longton Bowling Club raise over £300 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

This year’s competition was contested by four teams of around 50 members, including substitutes, over three evenings.

Roy, who was treated for skin cancer at the Rosemère Cancer Centre, said: “I would like to thank everyone involved in the competition, in particular Tony Hankin who organized it, as well as everyone who participated in the draws, which took place at the same time.

“It’s our way of thanking everyone at the Rosemère Cancer Center for the work they do.
