Teenager dies in motorcycle crash with tractor near Grimsargh

A teenager died while driving a motorbike which crashed into a tractor last night (Monday, September 13).


Police were called at around 9:10 p.m. yesterday following a report of a collision on Preston Road, Grimsargh.

A man driving a Honda motorcycle towards Longridge was involved in a collision with a tractor near the junction with Back Lane.

The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from Preston, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tractor driver, a 16-year-old boy from Preston, was uninjured.

Sergeant Marc Glass, Lancashire Police Tactical Operations, said: “There are very sad and tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time.

“An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the collision and we encourage all witnesses to come forward.
