People with vertigo can climb to the top of St Walburge.

Ashton-on-Ribble Church’s popular Spire at Night tours will run every Saturday from January 15 through February 22.

Visitors will be able to climb the 309-foot (94 m) spire, the third tallest in the UK and the tallest in a parish church.

The tower contains a single 31 quintal (1.5 ton) bell cast by Mears and Stainbank of Whitechapel, which is Lancashire’s heaviest bell.
