Preston North End has submitted a planning application to reintroduce a hot takeaway, which will operate daily in Deepdale.

The hot takeaway will be located between the junction of Bill Shankly Crescent and Sir Tom Finney Way.

In 2006 a development application was approved by Preston City Council to change the use of the former public toilets and shelter to hot takeaways operating only at match times, the site has been closed for around ten years now.

The most recent listing of April 12, 2022 requested an amendment attached to the planning permission in the original application, to allow for increased business hours.

Plans are to keep takeaways open daily when match days are on and when they are not, it becomes a viable long-term business.

The new proposed hours will be Monday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The takeaway is aimed at the local community which is within walking distance of the premises, it will be an opportunity to create more jobs and bring a derelict building back into use.
