Preston Vicar Sam Haigh’s request states that the temporary, modular 82m² cabin would be constructed from steel panels, with PVC window and door frames.
If agreed, the cabin would be in place for up to five years while a request for a permanent community building at the Grade II listed church progresses.

The app says, “The need for a flexible community space is immediate, especially for child labor.
“However, fundraising will likely take up to two years, so it could be four to five years before a permanent solution is put in place.
“To meet this critical immediate need, a temporary solution is needed to ‘bridge the gap’.
“The cabin would be located so that it could remain in place for the duration of the construction work. “
