Preston biker dies after St Michael accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after the tragic death of a motorcyclist following a collision in St Michael’s on Wyre.


Officers were called to Garstang Road at 1.30pm yesterday (Saturday 15th January) to report a single vehicle collision involving a Husqvarna 701 Supermoto motorcycle.

The rider, a man in his 40s from Preston, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he sadly died.

Sergeant Daniel Gunn, of Lancashire Police Tactical Operation, said: ‘This collision has resulted in the death of a man and my thoughts are first and foremost with his loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

‘We are now investigating the full circumstances of what led to the collision and I would ask anyone with any information or images that could help our investigations to contact the police.’
