Pleasant Days, Cool Nights All Weekend Long: The Alabama Weather Blog

A CHANCE FOR DRY: We expect dry weather for Alabama through early next week. Look for partly sunny skies today and tomorrow with highs in the mid 60s… the average high for Birmingham on March 24 is 69. The weekend will feature sunny days and clear nights, but temperatures will remain below the average. The high on Saturday will be in the mid 60s, followed by the low 60 on Sunday. Mornings will be cool… coldest morning will come early Sunday with 30 seconds likely for most of north/central Alabama. Some frost is likely, and colder locations will likely see a late season frost.

NEXT WEEK: We are starting to warm up as we expect highs in the 70s on Monday followed by lows in the 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. The next chance of rain will come Wednesday night through Thursday…it will be quite a buoyant system, but it’s just too early to tell if we’ll have a significant risk of severe thunderstorms or flooding. Dry air returns Friday… Watch the Weather Xtreme video for maps, charts and more details.
