Plans have been filed for new apartments in downtown Preston.


Previously approved plans to create apartments on the first and second floors at 3 Orchard Street included four one-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom apartments.

The new plans would see the reconfiguration of these floors to add two more apartments.

In addition, eight additional apartments would be created in the newly expanded third and fourth floors.

In total, there would be 15 one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment.

The building is located in the conservation area of ​​the market square.

It was first used as a restaurant in the early 1930s. Many businesses occupied the site until it became a bank in the 1970s.
