LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 2021-22 college basketball season has finally arrived. Louisville’s 108th season of men’s basketball kicks off on Tuesday, November 9, and the Cardinals kick off the new season at home against Southern.

After missing the NCAA tournament at 13-7 last season, Louisville has made some serious changes in the offseason. They recruited eight new players, two new assistant coaches and completely overhauled their offensive system.

The early dividends so far have been positive, with the Cardinals winning their two shows against Kentucky State and West Georgia by a combined score of 197-96.

As for the Jaguars, they just finished an 8-11 season and were selected to finish fifth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference under the direction of fourth-year head coach Sean Woods. Senior guard Jaylen Saddler has been listed as the All-SWAC second-team preseason selection.
