Errol Spence Jr. and Yordenis Ugas were neck and neck for most of 10 rounds Saturday in their battle for three-quarters of the welterweight belts at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

It was a big deal for Yordenis Ugas.

Spence is too good, too strong and too powerful a puncher for Ugas to fight the way he did, throwing few punches and not getting out of the way. Spence crushed Ugas repeatedly with uppercuts, closing his right eye, which eventually led to referee Laurence Cole stopping him at 1:44 of the 10 on the advice of the ringside physician.
