news, national,

Welcome to the live blog of the sixth day of the anti-corruption hearings into the allegations against former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian involving millions of dollars in grants to Wagga Wagga institutions. Former NSW Deputy Prime Minister John Barilaro is due to appear as a witness before the Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC). Former Barilaro staff member Peter Minucos, who helped develop the business case for the Wagga clay target center, is also scheduled to appear. Former NSW Sports Minister Stuart Ayres on Friday told the ICAC that the proposal for the Wagga clay target function center “had a lot of merit.” Ms Berejiklian denied the allegations, saying she acted with integrity at all times.
