Day 3 Live Blog: Former NSW Premier Mike Baird to Appear at ICAC | Bega District News
news, national,
Welcome to the live blog for day three of anti-corruption hearings into allegations against former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian involving millions of dollars in grants to Wagga institutions. Former NSW premier Mike Baird is due to appear as a witness for Wednesday’s hearing, along with his former prime minister’s office staffer Nigel Blunden. Former Office of Sport executive director Paul Doorn was asked about the $ 5.5 million grant to the Wagga Clay Target Function Center on Tuesday and emails from 2016 suggested Ms Berejiklian, then treasurer of NSW, had an “inclination” to support the project. Ms Berejiklian denied the allegations, saying she acted with integrity at all times. For more information on the grants and the events leading up to the new hearings, please read our in-depth article. IN OTHER NEWS:
