The Preston-based Community Gateway Association is hosting a free event at its Preston Docks headquarters this Friday (November 26) to showcase the wide variety of supports available to locals.

The multi-agency event was planned to be linked to the national 16 Days of Action campaign – a national campaign to end domestic violence.

Representatives from various organizations, including The Police, Red Rose Recovery, Inspire, Preston Domestic Violence Service and The Mental Health Network, will join the Gateway staff that day.

Chief Protection Officer Sharon Cowan-Stout said, “At Gateway, the safety and well-being of our customers and communities is paramount, which is why we are committed to providing information and support on protection, including around county borders, domestic violence and mental health.

“The 16 Days of Action campaign shows that such serious problems can be experienced by anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, profession or place of residence. We therefore urge anyone in need of assistance not to feel embarrassed to ask. There are a myriad of organizations available to help you.

For more information, come this Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the offices of CGA, Harbor House, Port Way, Preston PR2 2DW.

No pre-reservation is required. All participants will receive a free gift bag filled with helpful resources.
