Today was perfect, with wall-to-wall sun (again) and temperatures peaking in the 50’s. The clouds will gradually increase tonight as our next meteorologist arrives, unfortunately just in time. for all Halloween plans this weekend. Tonight, the lows fall in the 1930s to almost 40 degrees. Winds remain weak from the southeast.
Saturday will start cloudy, with showers lasting into the afternoon. A frontal system will cause heavier precipitation to the region by Saturday evening and overnight. This more abundant, generalized rain appears to last until Sunday morning, with showers subsiding through Halloween afternoon. Precipitation totals appear to range from 0.5 to 1.0 ″ in the central and northern VT, with some places seeing more than an inch in southern areas by Sunday evening. Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 50s. For any tips or treatment plans on Sunday, you may want to keep the umbrella on standby, but showers should start to be more secluded in nature around 5-6 p.m. on Sunday. evening.
