CancerHelp Preston completes a hike to the North Pole, located 2,504 miles.

Of course, they don’t hike to the North Pole itself, but hike the miles locally.

There are 49 people on the team of administrators, advisors, staff, volunteers, service users and businesses who have supported CancerHelp Preston, and they are all ready to start this epic challenge on Saturday 20 November.

The challenge runs from November 20 to December 20, which means just over 80 miles per day between the group.

Each day, those involved will do a minimum of 2 miles per day and record that.

Each week, the total mileage will be combined and the distance traveled will be added up.

People will take longer walks with their dogs, run in parks, walk instead of by car, and various other activities in order to accumulate the miles.

The youngest participant is 12 years old, but anyone of any age can participate.
