Bridge of Spirits photo mode – PlayStation.Blog

Looking forward to the launch of Kena: Bridge of Spirits on PlayStation on September 21, we’re very excited to announce a special feature we’ve been keeping a secret for some time: Photo Mode!

You can activate photo mode throughout your adventure and capture epic and adorable photos of your trip! Characters (including all Rot!) Will freeze by default once you enter photo mode, but you can “resume the action” to bring them back to life. When you move the camera, they will keep their attention on you; track and interact with the camera while you set up your perfect shot.

Our favorite part is the CHEESE button! Once you have configured your photo angle, you will have the option to have the characters in the photo say “CHEESE!” and strike a pose. Many characters have multiple poses, so be sure to take a variety of fun photos in one place! It’s also a fun way to get to know the characters better.

Developing the photo mode and the Cheese function were exciting animation opportunities for us! Not only did this feature introduce another element of entertaining for players, but it also allowed us to showcase the personalities of the characters as we developed each unique pose.

Throughout development, we focused on the dynamic moments of the story, the epic action and combat animations, and the beautifully crafted cutscenes, but we also wanted to focus on the characters at rest. Who are they in their free time? Are they a little more shy or are they a real ham? We hope that having the chance to meet each character in the most peaceful moments in between will help you fall in love with the characters in Kena’s world, just like us.
