BLOG: Hockey returns to United Center with four nights of festivities

Chicago Blackhawks hockey returns to United Center this week, kicking off the home team 21-22. With fans back in full voice for the first time since March 2020, the team is excited to offer several special events and festivities throughout the month to celebrate another exciting season together. Highlights of the October gaming experience include:


Tuesday, October 19 against the New York Islanders

Pre-Game Atrium Event: To welcome the fans once again, the Blackhawks are hosting a pre-game 5-7 at United Center Atrium, presented by Bud Light. Arrive early for half-price drinks from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., plus live music, photo ops and more before game time.

The doors to the atrium will open at 4:00 pm and the doors to the United Center will follow at 5:30 pm Fans should make sure to be seated before 7:00 pm to attend the opening show!



Thursday October 21 vs Vancouver Canucks

Pre-game event in the atrium: Fans will finally have the opportunity to recognize Patrick kaneand the Blackhawks will offer several personalized photo opportunities in the United Center Atrium ahead of the on-ice celebration. Food and drinks will also be available. The doors to the atrium will open at 5 p.m., followed by the doors to the United Center at 6 p.m.

Gate Giveaway: The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a 1Kane commemorative poster. In addition, 88 posters will be autographed by Patrick Kane himself and placed randomly in the allotment through the doors!



Sunday, October 24 against the Detroit Red Wings

Pre-game event in the atrium: A fan favorite, the Blackhawks’ Oktoberfest returns to the United Center before the team face the Red Wings. The Atrium “Beer Garden” will open at 3:30 pm with a live band, kids and beer, Oktoberfest backdrop and more. The gates of the United Center will follow at 4:30 p.m. for a 6 p.m. start to the game.



Wednesday October 27 vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Pre-Game Atrium Event: Celebrate Día de los Muertos with the Blackhawks! Presented by Don Julio and Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind, the Atrium United Center will be filled with sets and photo opportunities alongside traditional live music. Additionally, fans can purchase tacos in celebrity chef Stephanie Izard’s exclusive “This Little Goat Has Went to the Taqueria” arena and drink specials activations. Atrium doors open at 4 p.m. and United Center doors follow at 5 p.m.
