The Big Lunch is an initiative of Eden Project, which encourages communities and streets to go out and eat together.

Organizer Jacky Calvert said: ‘We started the Preston Big Lunch in 2015 and it has become the biggest in the UK – so much so that I visited Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall a few weeks ago to tell her what we’re up to, as godmother of the Eden Project.

“This year’s event falls on Jubilee weekend, so what better time.”
