The regular season finale is finally here. It features an important contest between the Auburn Tigers and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kentucky won Game 1 of Friday’s double-header. Auburn tied the series record with a Game 2 win.
Today’s game has a lot at stake. Kentucky clinches a spot at Hoover for next week’s SEC Tournament with a win. A victory for Auburn would land the four seeds in the SEC tournament, allowing them to earn a bye and not have to play in the knockout round of the conference tournament.

What to expect from Auburn pitcher Joseph Gonzalez
Auburn’s Game 3 starter should benefit from Kentucky’s baseball park turf.
“Gonzalez is ready to have a good day because the pitch is grass and he’s a lead guy who gets a lot of groundstrokes.” Andrew Stefaniak
“You won’t get any weird bounces, I don’t think, because it’s an even surface, but I think ultimately grass isn’t going to help it. It’s a very fast surface , and those standouts are coming at our players quicker than they are I think that’s somewhat mitigated by the fact that he’s throwing in game three as opposed to game one, but it’s still something to overcome.-Lindsay Crosby
