One of the boys who participated in Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams project was granted asylum.

Adnan is a refugee from Afghanistan and lives with his adoptive parents, Barry and Elaine.

Elaine tweeted: “As Adnan’s foster family, I just want to thank you all for your lovely comments. He is a very special young man who deserves it.

“But the biggest thank you goes to Freddie for his support and kindness to Adnan.

“May I take this opportunity to encourage people to consider fostering. It’s the most rewarding thing to do. There are so many children and teenagers who need a loving home.
