Sunday and Monday will feature highs in the 60s, before a rebound in the 70s on Tuesday.
As we cross on Sunday we will see windy conditions in the afternoon. A few gusts of 20 to 30 mph will be possible from west to northwest. Temperatures will be close to seasonal values, in the 60s.
The Daffodil Festival continues today in Gloucester if you are looking for something to do this Sunday. NASCAR is also in Richmond for the Cup Series race. The weather is looking good for both of these events.
As we head into the work week, we will start with slightly cooler Monday temperatures thanks to an onshore wind. Tuesday is in the 70s, with the mid-70s on Wednesday. Late Tuesday night, our next weather system is approaching. Scattered showers are expected Tuesday evening, with most moving into mid-morning Wednesday.
Another chance of rain is approaching our region on Thursday. This comes as a cold front sweeps through the region. This front is expected to bring several days of strong to severe storm potential to the south and southeast. We will see the possibility of a few stronger storms in our area on Thursday.
Pollen levels will continue to be high this week as well. The biggest troublemaker right now is tree pollen, as you’ve probably noticed if you’ve looked at your car or your patio furniture. Tuesday night’s rain should help a bit, but with so many trees in bloom it won’t change our levels significantly.
I hope you are having a good day!
